The standard, originally developed in 2001, aims to protect consumers and standardize criteria for packaging production.

Scope:

Packaging of food, hygiene-sensitive consumer goods (including cosmetics), raw materials and other consumer goods

Objectives:

     – meeting the needs of retailers and brand owners to avoid supplier audits

     – better understanding of the diversity of the packaging industry and customer needs

     – encourage greater transparency and traceability

     – develop production processes using standard requirements
